How Trend Suite is Helping to Shape the Future of Fashion

A backstage fashion show scene with models standing in line. The model in front wears a lime green tailored blazer over a blue velvet shirt with a gold pin, paired with bold magenta lipstick. Next to her, another model wears a white top with dramatic black ruffled detailing around the neckline and shoulders, styled over a yellow collared shirt. Both have sleek, pulled-back hair and intense runway expressions. Other models and photographers are blurred in the background under studio lighting.

From the future of activewear in The London Standard to the re-emergence of real fur in British Heritage, and the evolution of design in Yorkshire Living — Trend Suite isn’t just predicting the conversation. We’re shaping it.

Because when it comes to fashion trends, the industry isn’t guessing — it’s listening to us.

Fashion’s future isn’t happening quietly. And neither are we.

The Forecast That Sparked a Movement

When Women's Health asked what’s driving the transformation of sportswear, they turned to Trend Suite’s insight. Their February 2025 piece on "The Future of Activewear" spotlighted the way bio-reactive materials, AI-designed fits, and mood-tracking textiles are shifting the category from functionality to full-body feedback loops.

In the piece, we helped answer a powerful question: can a sports bra read your stress levels and adjust your posture mid-run? According to our data — yes, and that’s only the beginning.

The January/February 2025 cover of Women’s Health magazine featuring Gemma Atkinson. She stands confidently in a bold red one-shoulder swimsuit with asymmetric cutouts, hands on hips, and her blonde hair tied in a sleek high ponytail with a dramatic hair whip extending outward. Cover lines highlight topics like 'How to sweat, fuel and thrive in 2025,' 'Fit, Fierce and 40,' 'A Good Hair Year,' 'Reframe your resolution,' and '20 nutrition buys our editors swear by.' The tagline at the top reads, 'Unlock your potential — Why your shame is your superpower.'
A magazine spread titled 'The future of activewear has arrived' from the January/February 2025 issue. The article discusses how advancements in materials and design are reshaping performance wear. On the right page, a flat lay image features sewing tools including a spool of blue thread, a pair of tweezers holding a triangular swatch inside a petri dish, and a folded garment with burgundy and navy panels, suggesting a scientific approach to fabric innovation.

Style, Strategy, and Sentiment

In Yorkshire Living’s special "Fashion Forecaster" feature, founder Tiffany Hill spoke about the deeper emotional coding of future fashion: how sustainability, timeless design, and storytelling materials are no longer trends — but table stakes.

Her interview outlined the psychology behind design predictions: how the resurgence of 1970s and 1990s silhouettes reveals consumers’ longing for tactile connection, while digital-first design systems demand clarity, calm, and visual simplicity.

It wasn’t just a spread — it was a case study in how brands can use macro-emotion to guide micro-detail.

The October 2022 cover of Yorkshire Living magazine featuring a bride and groom embracing outdoors in a lush green landscape. The bride wears a sleek white gown with a thigh-high slit, while the groom is in a navy suit. Cover lines highlight stories such as 'Embrace Nature' about outdoor weddings, 'Kitchen Tales' with Marco Pierre White, 'Dominic Brunt on 50 years of Emmerdale,' 'True Grit' about traveling in the Dales, and 'Lynsey Ford — The Designer's Home in Slaithwaite.' A circular badge promotes a giveaway: 'WIN a stay in Clitheroe’s Holmes Mill Hotel & Spa.'
A magazine feature under the 'Style & Wellness' section of Living magazine. The article discusses fashion trend forecasting and how cyclical trends, like the return of 1990s styles, are being embraced by younger generations. On the right page, two fashion images are shown: one of a model in a bold pink-and-red floral oversized dress seated on stacked CRT televisions displaying her face, evoking a vintage-meets-digital aesthetic; below it, another model wears a minimalist, structured light-colored coat in a stark, minimalist setting. The article highlights Tiffany Hill Studio’s role in helping brands and designers access affordable trend forecasts and navigate the fashion industry with strategic insights.

A Real Look at Faux Controversy

In British Heritage's fashion edition, Tiffany Hill tackled one of the most polarising questions in sustainability: is real fur back?

The article unpacked the complex tension between environmental ethics and aesthetic legacy, showing how Gen Z consumers are rejecting performative sustainability in favour of circular, vintage luxury. Trend Suite’s commentary provided clarity — not controversy — on why real fur is being re-evaluated through the lens of eco-authenticity.

“The backlash isn’t about style,” Tiffany explained. “It’s about sustainability theatre — and consumers are calling cut.”

The February 19, 2025 cover of The London Standard magazine featuring a close-up image of a baby with blue eyes wearing a fluffy white hat with ear flaps. The main headline reads, 'Why isn’t London having babies anymore?' with a subheading indicating it’s a special report. Other cover lines include 'Myles Lewis-Skelly — The young Gunner’s amazing rise,' 'Mind Games — Put your hand up if you don’t have ADHD,' and 'Is skiing common? Riff-raff on the slopes.' The bottom banner lists featured names like Thomas Heatherwick, Jason Isaacs, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Toby Young, and The 151 Club.
A magazine spread from The London Standard titled 'Fashion’s bloody secret.' The headline reads, 'Despite the bans and the rise of faux fur, we are falling in love with the real thing again.' The article discusses the resurgence of real fur in fashion. On the right, a photo shows two people on the red carpet—one wearing an all-black outfit with sunglasses and combat boots, and the other in a dark brown full-length fur coat with a slicked-back hairstyle and metallic heels. A pull quote in bold says, 'If you walk up King’s Road, every fifth person is wearing a piece of fur.' The story critiques the complicated relationship between fashion trends and ethics around animal products.

A magazine spread featuring a continuation of the article about the resurgence of real fur in fashion. On the top left, celebrities including A$AP Nast and others are shown wearing dramatic fur coats and accessories. The image includes a man in a cream-colored fur coat, sunglasses, and a microphone, next to a woman in tinted sunglasses, a cropped tan fur vest, satin pants, and holding a fur stole. Another man stands beside them in a large fur coat, jeans, and a brown leather hat, holding a red Louis Vuitton duffle bag. The article discusses the backlash against faux fur, noting concerns over plastic waste and environmental impact. On the bottom half of the page is a large O2 advertisement for the iPad, promoting affordable monthly payments starting from £10.77 a month. The ad features a floating stack of iPads against a blue background with a QR code in the top left corner.
