Brown and olive are not new to autumn, but their role is changing. For AW27–28, earth tones move away from rusticity and heritage nostalgia and into a more substantial register. The palette becomes darker, richer and more compressed, with smoked browns, oil-dark neutrals, mossed greens and heat-treated red-browns creating a sense of visual protection.
