deconstructed fashion
Visible basting, displaced lapels and partial tailoring turn the working marks of the atelier into the finished surface, allowing the garment to carry a visible record of how it was constructed.

Deconstruction is moving away from the idea of clothing that simply looks unfinished. The more interesting shift is happening deeper inside the garment, where elements traditionally concealed during production are being promoted into the visual language of the finished piece. Basting lines remain visible, facings migrate onto the surface, linings are exposed, seams travel into unexpected positions and sections of tailoring appear partially assembled rather than conventionally resolved.
